Many German-themed shops, restaurants, and events can be found in Fredericksburg, and the use of the language is apparent throughout the area.

For a yummy treat while shopping or to buy a delicious chocolate gift, stop in to the
Lone Star Candy Bar. WIth more than 40 flavors of fudge and 36 flavors of saltwater taffy, this is one place you won’t be able to leave empty-handed. 


Old Thyme Fun Shop


Like the name implies, this store has a lot of fun items for sale! From gag gifts and magic tricks to t-shirts and wigs, this is a store you have to see to believe. Old Thyme Fun Shop is also home to Sunshine the Clown who is famous in the area for her face painting and magic. 


Remember Me, Too


Remember Me, Too carries a little of everything. They have several exclusive lines of clothing, boots, original art, and fine jewelry. They also carry furniture, antiques, and handmade soaps and candles. You’ll have to stop in to see everything they have to offer!

If you want to take a quick break from shopping, stop by one of the museums along Main Street. 


Pioneer Museum

Sitting on 3.5 acres just off of Main Street, the Pioneer Museum features a series of buildings that have been staged to reflect what life was like at the time. The buildings include a schoolhouse, Sunday house, barn, smokehouse, and bathhouse. 


National Museum of the Pacific War

The National Museum of the Pacific War provides a comprehensive look at the events of WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. The museum presents the stories, artifacts, and details of the war to teach future generations about its impact on the world.
