Annually, the Hill Country Film Society hosts a fundraiser that pairs local cuisine, Texas Hill Country wine and film for an inspiring evening. In partnership with Hoffman Haus, Otto's, Pedernales Cellars, and Rock & Vine Magazine, Film Affäre will explore the convergence of food and film with guest speaker, Tom Provost.
This year, the filmography of Jon Favreau takes center stage. Paired with a 5-course meal inspired by Favreau’s feature film, Chef, Provost will lead an interactive discussion exploring Favreau’s work as a writer/producer/director from his roots in indie film to mainstream success.
Tom Provost, award-winning filmmaker, Pepperdine University film professor and food blogger, takes guests on a journey exploring how we can experience food through film. Provost’s food and film musing can be read on his blog, On Food And Film. He is also the creator and instructor of the popular filmmaking series, Cinema Language.
