Leslie's back, with more exciting, energizing and informative classes for 2010!  Each month she will focus on a particular way of cooking, whether regional, international or just teaching simple cooking techniques.  And, we will focus on the healthy aspects of the dishes we are creating.  You won't believe that "good for you' food can taste this good!

February will be easy Japanese food and techniques.  Learn how to make your own sushi rolls!  They are so simple to make, you will wonder why you never tried this technique before.  Leslie will be teaching several different kinds, some with fish and some vegetarian.  We will also be learning how to make tempura, a fabulous dish for these cold winter days.  And on the menu, miso soup!

March, we healthy up Tex Mex with a great menu that is guaranteed to become a favorite of yours.  Learn to make a Black Bean Corn and Potato Stuffed Poblano, (think Chili Relleno redux) over Southwestern Quinoa Pilaf, with a Salsa Fresca and Jalapeno Cream.  You will also be learning how to use tofu in two of its many guises, don't worry, no one will ever know!  Chocolate Mousse rounds out this fun and delicious meal!

April brings with it spring cleaning and resolutions, think eating a bit lighter now that the earth, and you, are beginning to wake up after winter.  This month Leslie will be teaching techniques that lend themselves to seductively simple dishes.  Cooking En Papillote, Sauteing, and Poaching will be the main three ways of cooking we will emphasize.  Also on the menu, proper knife skills!

Classes are $80 per person and includes recipes, healthy cooking information, and of course, a delicious meal.  BYOB if you like an we can do wine pairings as well!

Classes are held in the Hoffman Haus kitchen and begin at 10:45 a.m.  Class size is limited to 6.
